Interesting Estate Sale in Los Angeles this weekend!

Join us Friday 9 to 1 and Saturday 9-2 in Los Angeles, near Slauson and La Brea. NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 will be permitted. This will be strictly enforced. There are some really great finds you will want to check out. Rusty stuff, a Bacon player piano, Spode china set, furniture in very nice condition, a great washer and dryer pair, GE Profile refrigerator, license plates, cash register, pot belly stove, an enormous metal safe on wheels, RCA talking machine record player (this one is so cool!) Brown Jordan patio furniture, kitchenaids, holiday decorations, lots of typewriters, old office equipment, wow, just so much fun stuff to see. There is a TON of cool things in the garage in addition to the house.  You will need to be able to climb a full flight of stairs to enter the proprty.  There is nonhandicap access to this home.

Such a fun summer we have had here at Penny and Pig, (can’t decide which was more fun, the T-birds or the golf cart) and now it’s time for the Holiday season to begin! This week we are in Pasadena, near Cal Tech. Second week of November finds us in Pomona and we will end the month in a great sale in Arcadia with lots of holiday decor, just in time to decorate!

This week (November 10 and 11) our sale in Pasadena features some AMAZING mid century furniture and furnishings, and will also have cases and cases of fun sterling and some fine jewelry, as well as a ton of costume jewelry too. Start making your holiday wish lists now! Can’t wait to see you all!

Cool Collectibles in Orange this weekend Fri Jan 19/Sat Jan 20

We have a really neat mix of cool collectibles in Orange this week.  There’s lots of instruments- a violin, cello, bass, gorgeous rca victrola, old photographs, mid century pidgeon trophies, stained glass, pyrex, a FAB Okeefe and Merrit stove that was refurbed in 2005, bicycles, record albums (but not rock and roll so much) 45s, 78s, costume jewelry, an old fire hydrant! A few nice pieces of antique furniture, and the most groovy mid century blue El Camino we have seen in a really long time.  Come see us 9-1 on Friday and 8-2 on Saturday.

Burbank ---Friday January 12 and Saturday January 13.  We are excited to be back in Burbank for our first sale of the year in a house full of rocks, lots of rocks! We also specimens, bottles, arrowheads, small antiques and collectibles from the turn-of-the-century. Where have you seen Dr. Guertins Epilepsy nerve syrup in it’s original box?   There’s a gorgeous mining scale, stereo viewer and slides, a real spittoon (ewwww)  super early RCA television, amazing turn of the century phonograph, pretty but super sturdy oak dining set, cute lamps, big box of 45 records. 

In addition to all the great antiques there are also some really nice pieces of modern furniture. And overstuffed upholstered chair, flatscreen Sony TV, almost new pretty floral couch, tons of old bottles, lots of nice lamps, dressers, a super gorgeous display case for your rock specimens, and just some nice regular every day stuff.
